Stage III Melanoma: Road to Recovery - Evan's Story

Stage III Melanoma: Road to Recovery - Evan's Story Transcript

"Stage III Melanoma: Road to Recovery-Evan's Story" Evan: "My brother had come down, and had referred me to a doctor, a Chinese medicine doctor he knew of, Harvard educated MD, who was actually a 4th generation Chinese doctor, and I did what the doctor said, and I started to eat the way he told me to eat, pursued acupuncture. I had told the acupuncturist when I got there that I didn't believe that anything that she was gonna do was gonna work, that I didn't believe in what she did, but that I had absolutely nothing to lose, that was the beginning of my recovery. What helped me most were the people around me, my mom, is like my hero, my daughter, she never flinched, you have to use the fear that we have to stir us, to motivate us, our job is to do everything we can, we can't control what happens, but we can control our openness, our willingness, our honesty to ourselves. I'm now there for my daughter, myself, my clients, for my friends, and my family, and I am a very fortunate, lucky human being, I'm a better human being today than I was before I got cancer."
