Prostate Cancer: Choosing the Right Hospital

Dr. Schlegel

It's important to have a wide variety of different approaches and different support groups for men who have prostate cancer.

We have developed new hormonal therapies for men who have prostate cancer, we have developed new treatments for advanced disease for men who have prostate cancer. And we'd led some of the development of surgical treatments for men who have prostate cancer. Certainly in patients who are slower in their recovery of urinary function, or who are not recovering sexual function as they should, or require any adjunctive treatments in the future, all of those specialties, in fact a lot of expertise in each of those specialties, exists at our center and exists at many other multispecialty centers as well.
