Vertigo - Tiffany's Story

Hi I'm Tiffany I live in Piscataway, New Jersey and I suffer from vertigo.

At least four months ago or so things weren't right, I just felt dizzy at times, light headed. Went to the doctor and he said, all right well try on a few things, had me a few tests; lying down, sitting, standing, did my blood pressure as well and he noticed a change.

Blood pressure elevated once I stood up from the lying position and I started getting very, very dizzy.

When I found out that I was diagnosed with vertigo I was very, very scared. I mean deal with patients on a daily basis and I just didn't know how to handle it myself.

I was also struggling with it at home, couldn't drive. Was on medication for it, which that made me very drowsy.

I have steps in my house, quite a few of them so I have to you know take landing by landing and take my time.

Now it's gotten better. There are days where I have lots of dizzy spells and I have to sit and just take it easy, take a couple breaths and then take my time.
