My name is Aleiah and I'm from New Jersey.
I was on the train and started to feel very shaky and kind of weak. I got to the subway station and I stood up against the wall to try to just take a deep breath and let it pass. And as I was standing up against the wall I must have just passed out and woke up with people around me.
I've had other symptoms associated with this before. I've had dizziness, light headedness, occasional blackouts.
The biggest conflict for me was getting that feeling of knowing that I'm -- or thinking that I may possibly pass out and being in a public place where I didn't know anybody and it was something that was completely humiliating for me to be laying on the floor in a subway station.
I went to the doctor, they did a tilt test which tests how you - if your blood changes when you stand up. They ran a bunch of brain scans just to make sure to rule everything out. Their advise was to just drink a lot of water to add salt, whatever I could to my diet to keep my blood pressure up. Not drink as much coffee, eat more protein filled meals and just try to keep my diet regulated.
I think it's just important to again watch yourself everyday to really be aware of what your body is telling you and that's the best that I do for myself.
