Doctor Stewart:

So we did sort of an intermediate procedure but we did not have to rotate any flaps or do anything more extensive like that.

Billy had sort of a moderate tongue tie, it wasn%u2019t a severe dense completely fixed. On the other hand, it wasn%u2019t a very thin small membranes tie. You can see it in hand pretty easily. We see this all the time. We see normals all the time so for us it%u2019s pretty quick and easy to look and say that one%u2019s clearly, you know, abnormal or that one%u2019s clearly tender.

Doctor Stewart:

So you can see the tongue tied air. This one is a dense enough and long enough tie that I%u2019m afraid that if we just cut it and then size it, it could contract back down again.

So we did sort of an intermediate procedure where we divided it a pretty good distance of it and then we actually used sutures to close in several places%u2026.

Doctor Stewart:

Suture.

%u2026to try to prevent any contracture, but we did not have to rotate any flaps or do anything more extensive like that.

Doctor Stewart:

That%u2019s great.

It%u2019s not always a big deal for recovery at all. I think Billy will be somewhere in the middle. He%u2019ll have some discomfort, it%u2019ll bother him a little bit, but I think he%u2019ll bounce back pretty quickly.
