Anger Management - Joseph's Story

Anger can be a very strong emotion, and for some can be very difficult to deal with properly. After being in the Marine Corp, Joseph started to realize how his anger took over in situations. Watch him speak about his story and how he deals with it.

Anger Management - Joseph's Story Transcript

"I became a little more aggressive in the Marine Corp. Kind of just by... it was almost a survival tactic just to hang with everyone else. One thing that took it over the top was a woman. I was in a long distance relationship while being in the Marine Corp. Just certain thing that I thought weren't cool would just take me over the top. It's that one instance where everything hits the fan and then its just like boom! You just snap, and its just like you see red. You don't see anybody around you. You get this tunnel vision, and you're just gone. I actually did go to anger management after a situation, and I think it was good to hear from somebody that doesn't completely know you and tell you 'Well you did this wrong. Well you should have did this like this'. Even now I think as much as you can suppress that feeling or those feelings, it's still in you. It's there somewhere. So right now I'm doing boxing, and I just like let it all out in there. For me personally, just another good therapy is to just my iPod on, and just go running with a nice playlist, which your own songs, in your own world. You got to find out what works for you, maybe drawing. I don't know what the case maybe, or just take a time off and just making yourself happy first. I think that's the biggest thing."
