Anger Management: Lessons to Live By - Evan's Story Transcript

"Anger Management: Lessons to Live By: Evan's Story" Evan: "As I progressed and started to learn more about myself, and my anger began to diminish, and my self-centeredness began to lessen, I became more involved in what I could do for others in the rest of the world, rather than what they could do for me all the time. Therapy made a big difference. It's very hard, it takes a lot of courage to try something new this way, but I have yet to find one that didn't benefit, the same way I have. It took a long time, but eventually I discovered that I didn't kill my father, today I know that my father loved me dearly, he just didn't know how to show it. So what I would say to anyone else going through all the things that I know I went through, just ask yourself a few questions. Has anyone ever asked me if I had an anger problem, do I have a hard time trusting people, do I feel betrayed a lot, am I lonely? These kinds of things we don't have to feel anymore, I work with men everyday, and they change and they would say the same. As a result of the work that I've done today, I am happier than I've ever been in my life. I have an incredible relationship with my daughter, I feel good about myself, I can look at myself in the mirror and like who I see, I can't think of a better way to live."
